PRERANA (Programmes 2015)

Prerana is a venture to respond to the on-going Renewal & Formation needs of religious & laity through courses on Ignatian Spirituality, Psycho-Spiritual Development, Religious Leadership, Inter-Religious Harmony, Scripture, Socio- Ecological Issues etc. The Courses presume and are designed on Christian faith and are open to all.

"PRERANA" (Ignatian Spirituality Centre) 
Prerana is a new venture of the Karnataka JesuitProvince begun with the purpose of sharing the riches of Ignatian Spirituality with all sections of the People of God by means of training courses & renewal programmes for formators, formees, community animators, spiritual directors etc. This Year, Prerana offers the following Courses.

Summer Camp 2015


Nine first year Novices along with the coordinator Sch. Arvin Pais and Socius Fr Francis Fernandes went to Pannur (Raichur) for the summer Camp from 14 April to 5 May. They had a very rich and fruitful experience in the mission. Thanks to Fr Francis D'Souza, the mission superior and all the Jesuits of Pannur - Manvi mission for their support and inspiration.

Inter Novitiate Day 

The Novices day of Bannerghatta zone was held on 8 March 2015 on the theme Wake up the World. 44 Novices from 5 different Novitiates were present. Fr Anto CMI was the resource person.

Long Retreat and Mission Experiment

Nine first year novices successfully completed the Long retreat on 4-2-2015 and Ten Second years spent one month in 3 different Jesuit mission stations of North Karnataka - Bijapur, Mundgod and Pannur and two Andhra Novices went to Gudlavalleru - Guntur. 

The First years are grateful to their Novice master Fr Jossy Rodrigues who directed and accompanied them during the retreat and the second years are grateful to the Superiors, Directors of work and the Jesuits of Bijapur, Mundgod, Pannur and Gudlavalleru for their inspiration, accommodation and  guidance.
