A FRIENDLY MATCH!

On 16th of December, the candidates from ' Xavier Nilaya'(Candidate's house of Patna province) were at MSJ on their way back from Bannerghatta national park. The Novices had a friendly basket ball match as well as a high tea with them. Thank you Fr Selvin, Sch Bernard and all our friends for spending your time with us.

WHAT'S DISCERNMENT ALL ABOUT ???

A course on 'Discernment' was organised from 11-14 December, 2012 for all the Novices at PRERANA. Around 34 Novices from Holy Spirit, Alverna Bhavan, Trinitarian Ashram, FSI and MSJ Novitiates participated in the course. Fr Terence Farias was the resource person. This course was indeed a grand success. 

FR PROVINCIAL @ MSJ

FR PROVINCIAL was at MSJ for his annual visit (December 11 -16, 2012). He paid a short visit to the Novitiate community and offered a meaningful Eucharist. Thank you Fr Provincial for your love and affection. 

CHRISTMAS CAROL CONCERT

Christmas Carol Concert - 2012 was presented by the Novices on 14.12.2012 through the guidance of the Senior Fathers of the Mount St Joseph community. Fr Provincial and the hostel students from Loyola ITI were the guests of honour.

RECOLLECTION TALK BY FR SELVIN, SJ

FR SELVIN from XAVIER NILAYA, Bangalore was at MSJ on 6 December, 2012 to share with the Novices about his rich experiences during the LONG RETREAT and the MISSION EXPERIMENT.

CATECHISM STUDENTS' RETREAT

Around 50 students from neighbouring parishes of MSJ had come to PRERANA for the ANNUAL RETREAT which was held on 25th of November, 2012.  It was indeed a fruitful day for the students as well as to the Novices who were instrumental in organising the retreat. Hats off to the Novices and our sincere thanks to all at PRERANA  specially Fr Anthony Joseph for his generous support. 

INSIGHTFUL SHARING

MR &MRS EUGENE shared with the Novices about their personal experience of God and also their expectations from the seminarians during the monthly recollection held on 19th of November, 2012. Their sharing was well appreciated by all the Novices.

ASHRAM EXPERIMENT

The Novices had a very enriching prayer experience at VIDYAVANAM ASHRAM, Bhutenahalli, near Bannerghatta from 11- 16 November, 2012 under the able guidance of Frs Vineeth and Anto.

A MISSIONARY FROM ARUNACHAL!!!

Thanks Fr. Vijay D'Souza (Kohima Region) for your inspiring talk. Fr. Vijay shared with the Novices about his LONG RETREAT EXPERIENCE  during his tertianship at Raia, Goa and also about his pioneering missionary activities at Arunachal Pradesh.

NOVICES' DAY OUT

The Novices had a wonderful time visiting some of the historical places of Bengaluru as part of their 'BENGALURU DARSHAN' on November 7, 2012. The Novitiate community thanks the community members of Arrupe Nivas, Navasadhana and Xavier Nilaya of Patna province for their warm hospitality.   

LET US DEBATE...

The Novices had an opportunity to exhibit their debating skills on November 2, 2012. "It is possible to weed out corruption from India" and "Modern gadgets ruin the life of today's youth" were the topics for the debate. This event  certainly helped the Novices to sharpen their intellect.

HAPPY FEAST DEAR BR. BENNA

The MSJ community gratefully acknowledged the cheerful service rendered by our beloved Br Benna as we kept the feast of St. Alphonsus Rodriguez, the patron saint of Jesuit brothers.

POINTS TO PONDER

 Rev. Fr. Melvin Lobo 's talk on  'MY CALL AND MY FORMATION' and the meaningful Eucharistic celebration were of much help for the Novices to spend the recollection day ( 15-10-2012) fruitfully.
