Called to be Sent

May is a month of many experiments in the Novitiate. Novitiate wears a deserted look as the novices have gone to various places. Second year novices are serving the sick people in different places like Snehadan and Snehasadan which are catering to HIV patients, Ashaniketan- a center for mentally disabled people and Sumanahalli-a home for leprosy patients. Novice Vinod is having an earn and live experience in a commercial center in Bangalore.
The first year Novices are led by their Fr.Socius to Pannur for work camp. All are expected to return Mount on 31 May.

Alone with the Alone in the eight day retreat

The second year novices (14) were led to have a wonderful experience of union with the Lord in silence. Fr.Frederick D'silva guided the novices through an eight day retreat helping them to know the infinite love of God. He being a missionary enthused them in being faithful and committed to the love and mission of Christ given to the Society.
As the second years prepare themselves to commit their lives through the vows, the retreat helped them to cherish, nourish and relish the graces so as to flourish in their vocation to serve Christ in His people. As the month's retreat fuels the mission experiment, let us pray that this retreat which they have spent with the Lord may energize them during their experiments ahead.
