1955: Karnataka became a Vice-Province.
1956: Fr. Boniface D’Souza consecrated the Vice-Province to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Fr. Boniface purchased 63 acres of land for Rs.75, 000. (MSJ Property)
16 January 1957: Bishop Thomas Pothcamury laid the foundation for MSJ. Architect of MSJ Br. Giani,
May 1959: Fr. J.C Pereira was appointed Rector of MSJ.
22 August, 1959: The Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the day on which
12 March 1960: The Main Altar of the Domestic Chapel was inaugurated by Bishop Thomas Pothacamury.
April 1961: Fr Zanolin died and this was the first burial at
13 Jan, 1967: Fr Arrupe came to MSJ.
23 Aug 1967: Fr JC Pereira shifted the Provincialte to Loyola Mandir at
1968: Fr Apoline D’Souza stepped down as Novice Master after 11 years.
