Work Camp

The first year novices, under the guidance of Fr. Lancy  & Br. Vinod Saldanha,  were indeed thrilled to go to “Bijapur” in a place called ‘Sindagi’ for their summer experiment. They engaged themselves so rigorously working in the fields and being poor among the poorest of the poor. They also gave awareness programmes through street plays in collaboration with ‘Sangama’. They also proved themselves as the true followers of Christ by teaching the little children in Loyola school, Sindagi. They also visited some historical places in Bijapur and Gulbarga. We were blessed to meet the Bishop of Gulbarga.

Vows Day

On 21st of June  7of our  outgoing novices received their 1st vows in the presence of the entire MSJ community. It was indeed an inspiring moment . Fr. Provincial celebrated the Eucharistic celebration . it was a gracefilled experience for us to know and plunge deeper into the meaning of religious vows. It was followed by a felicitation programme and fellowship meal.

Main Games of the Novitiate

We are privileged to have Basketball, Volleyball and Football as our main games. You may be surprised to know that the Birthday Baby has a golden chance of selecting, for his birthday, any one of the games.

Novitiate community gathering

The novitiate community have community get-together once in every month. They are divided into different groups in order to lead us into spiritual satisfaction, entertainment and appetite fulfillment.
This is a unique chance for the novices to showcase their talents and to show their inner potential to the maximum extent.

Horizon-2017

The budding Jesuits had several mega events from August 30th to September 7th. The Horizon Coordinators were ‘Prathap’ and ‘Divij’. They planned very extensively for the Horizon this year.
On Sept.7th, some of the main community members joined the novices in the evening for “The Grand Finale”. In this manner, we concluded the community days. We learnt to collaborate with each other in those 9 days.

Farewell Match to Juniors

As our seven novices received their their first vows, novitiate community organized a match to felicitate them .Seven of our brothers had a privilege to have seniors fathers in the farewell match. Tem match was fantastic and many senior fathers witnessed this match .ALL THE BEST DEAR BROTHERS .

Entrance Day

We were glad to have fourteen new novices this year. On the 2nd of July, we had ‘Entrance Day’ in the evening along with the holy Eucharistic celebration. It was really a joyous moment for the entire community to see the new novices ready to enter into the novitiate. This year Fr. Josephvaz, our Socius, helped the second years to coordinate the entire First Probation. We were glad to have five-star guides this year: Christon ,Allwin, Prathap, Vimal, Vivian. For the first probation, Vivian was appointed as the Head Guide and it was a wonderful time for the entire novitiate. All the five guides have played a prominent role in the basic spiritual formation  of their respective angels, under the leadership of Fr. Master.

Cassock day

The 7 first year novices prepared themselves spiritually through the Ignatian 30 day retreat. We had cassock day on the 10th of March and Fr. Provincial, Fr. Anil D’mello and Fr. Jossy Rodrigues celebrated and concelebrated the Eucharist respectively. The second year novices gladdened the hearts of our first year brothers in the evening with a short programme.

PRERANA (Programmes 2015)

Prerana is a venture to respond to the on-going Renewal & Formation needs of religious & laity through courses on Ignatian Spirituality, Psycho-Spiritual Development, Religious Leadership, Inter-Religious Harmony, Scripture, Socio- Ecological Issues etc. The Courses presume and are designed on Christian faith and are open to all.

"PRERANA" (Ignatian Spirituality Centre) 

Prerana is a new venture of the Karnataka JesuitProvince begun with the purpose of sharing the riches of Ignatian Spirituality with all sections of the People of God by means of training courses & renewal programmes for formators, formees, community animators, spiritual directors etc. This Year, Prerana offers the following Courses.
